A Family Business

Having worked in both the multiple and independent sectors of the market, the team at harwood, led by Musab & Naeemunisha Patel, have curated ideas from both sides of the optical world and integrated the best of both into their own practice. The attention to detail and personal service of an independent practice along with the efficiency and stream lined approach of a multiple.

With 2 young children at home, the Patels balance work and family life, serving the Harwood community with the same values used to build the harwood Opticians brand for over 100 years.

Musab

Musab graduated from University of Bradford in 2007 and carried out his pre-registration training in Bolton, becoming a fully qualified optometrist in the Autumn of 2008. Since 2008, Musab has practiced as an optometrist in a Hospital and also in high street multiples but over the past few years he has practiced in many Independent practices.

The love and passion for practicing in the independent sector has since been cemented when he was given the opportunity to take over Seddons Opticians in Atherton and then Harwood Eyecare and most recently Carlton and Stanley Opticians, Shevington.

When not kept busy by his two little daughters, Musab likes to go to the gym and long walks with the family. He is also a rare breed of fans who support his team Bolton Wanderers.

Naeemunisha

Naeemunisha also graduated from University of Bradford in 2007 and carried out her pre-registration training in Rochdale, becoming a fully qualified optometrist in the Summer of 2008. Since 2008, Naeemunisha has mainly practiced as an optometrist in the Independent Practice sector and has worked in towns such as Clitheroe and Bolton.

In her spare time (which she does not have much) Naeemunisha loves to bake and likes to catch up on Eastenders, but her guilty pleasure are Bollywood movies.

Grace

Grace has recently joined the Team here at Harwood Eyecare, however she has been working in Optics for the past 14 years. Her experience in the industry has been evident at Harwood Eyecare. Her expertise in lens knowledge and technology proves to be very beneficial for our patients and you can be sure she will confidently find you a pair of glasses which will make you the envy of the lot.

Grace, is kept busy out of the Opticians by her 2 children and husband and when she finds the time she likes to watch her husband play semi professional football for his team.

Sue

Sue has been in Optics for over 20 years ago and was manager of an Opticians for many years until she ventured into running her own business with her husband. She successfully ran her own business and wanting to challenge herself further she successfully applied in getting the position at Harwood Eyecare.

Being with us from the beginning, Sue has seen the Practice grow and is now an integral part of the team, awaiting each one of our patients with a welcoming warm smile. She has a fantastic rapport with our patients and always goes above and beyond for our patient’s needs.

When not in work Sue loves spending time with her family and has a variety of pastimes to keep her busy from the sedate like walking her dog and reading to dancing , singing in a choir and even Egyptian and African drumming.

Established in 2016 by Musab and Naeemunisha Patel, Harwood Eyecare Opticians are proud to be an independent practice and to support the local community of Harwood and Bolton and neighbouring areas such as Bury.
